We currently have three Retail Sales Assistant positions available at our Waikato store. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, friendly retail team where excellence, success, and people are valued and rewarded. The job involves heavy lifting of boxes (up to 25 kg), providing customer service on the floor, serving customers at the Point-of-Sale system, stocking shelves, and performing other tasks as needed in the store.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week and a Maximum of 50 hours and an hourly rate of NZ $24.00 to $26.00

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Support the store manager with various operational tasks and projects, including stock ordering, stocktaking, banking, cash handling, merchandising, and more.
• Labelling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Opening and closing of premises and associated security
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Be courageous, bold, innovative and not afraid to take on any aspect of the role.
• A self-starter capable of working well by yourself on solo shifts and staying motivated.
• Handling the cash counter, issuing customer invoices for the goods purchased.
• Listening to customers’ complaints and forwarding them to management to address them in a professional manner.

Currently we looking for a motivated and experienced Store Manager, and an Assistant Store Manager to oversee store operations and lead our team. This is full-time position.

Location: Auckland
Hours per Week: 30-40

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the store, including staff supervision
• Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centred on seasonal sales and other cycles
• Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store
• Managing product, pricing, and seasonal promotion
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and merchandising
• Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
• Develop staff rosters, manage training, and monitor performance
• Implement sales strategies to maximise profitability
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene compliance in the workplace
• Any additional managerial duties as required from time to time  

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in a local retail supervision/management role
• Proven ability to manage a team and work independently
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving ability
• Must be physically fit and able to lift items up to 20 kilograms as part of regular duties

Maruia Hot Springs is an award-winning hot springs eco-resort located in the center of the South Island 2.5 hours from Christchurch and 45 minutes from Reefton in the heart of the Lewis Pass National Park. It is a remote location that is completely off the grid in the mountains surrounded by beach forest and rivers.

We require a customer service manager to join our team. This would involve planning, administrative duties and evaluating customer relations. This would be done through delivery in the restaurant service, working with kitchen, reception and housekeeping and sauna infusions to ensure that customers have the best stay possible and experience of all that Maruia has to offer. 

The applicant requires strong leadership skills and customer service, extensive hospitality experience and experience in the wellness industry, such as yoga practice, sauna infusions, guided walking etc. This will require the person to be confident to speak publicly to groups.

Any other skills such as graphic design, marketing would all be of benefit for this role. An LCQ certificate would be a great asset or the willingness to attain one.

This is a permanent 35-40 hour position, pay rate is between $30- $34/hour.

A minimum of 3 years experience is required.
